MANILA, Philippines- Almost 47,000 jobs are being offered abroad this 2014 according to Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).


Labor Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz said that included in these job offerings would mostly suit those from the transportation industry.

The official assured that even without college degree, an applicant can grab the opportunity to be hired in 15 new luxury cruise ships that are set to sail soon.

Thousands of crew members will be needed to fill several positions.

She said that most cruise ships hire those with experience working in spas and casinos even without a degree but must be proficient in English communication.

Particular positions that must be filled are performers, swimming instructors, entertainers, hair stylists, waiters bar tenders, massage therapists, etc.

Expected salary is usually $1800 to $2,400 monthly or $2,800 to $4,800 depending on the job.

Here are some companies accepting cruise ship jobs:

·         Dolphin Ship Management, Inc.

·         Singa Ship Management Phils.

·         North Sea Marine Services

·         Magsaysay Maritime Corporation
