Department
of Foreign Affairs (DFA) raised level 2 alert crisis in Thailand amid the
political tension.
DFA
spokesman Raul Hernandez advised Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) to be more
cautious and avoid being in places considered as center of demonstrations.
The
official assured that Filipinos are safe in Bangkok.
OFWs
were warned not to wear red or yellow shirts to avoid being mistaken as
supporters of pro-government and protesters.
Hernandez
stated that protesters wear yellow shirt while those who are supporting Prime
Minister Yingluck Shinawatra wear red.
Most
protest are being held in Thailand capital wherein the government already
imposed a 60-day state of emergency,
DFA
said that about 16, 000 Filipinos are based in Thailand.
Aside from reminding OFWs in Thailand, what should the government need to do in order for Filipinos to stay safe?
